The School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work & Social Sciences is one of two Schools at the University of Salford that are involved in the preparation of health and social care professionals, and those wishing to work in the social science disciplines. The School is a centre of teaching and research in the fields of adult nursing, mental health nursing and children and young people’s nursing, with a local, national and international reputation in all areas.
We are looking to appoint an external examiner for a 3 year period commencing March 2016 to our current Pre-registration BSc Children & Young People’s Nursing September & March intakes.
As an External Examiner you will have responsibility for the external moderation of theoretical assessments and practice portfolios as well as supporting the relevant module teams with their planned assessment strategy. You would be expected to attend module and programme boards and complete an External Examiner Annual Monitoring Report. An Induction Day will be held in early November 2016 for new examiners.
