The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is seeking to appoint a ‘Course External Examiner’ for a range of modules which contribute to the above course. The subject external examiner will need to be a Registered Social Worker and hold a recognised Higher Education teaching qualification. Knowledge of a variety of academic elements relevant to the undergraduate degree in Social Work and Post Graduate professional practice is essential.
The External Examiner is expected to monitor the quality of assessments and professional practice across the modules and is invited to attend at least one Assessment Board per academic session to consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process
You will be required to forward a report for each module board in consideration of process and student work. An annual report is also required as part of the University of South Wales’ quality assurance mechanisms. The post is for a period of 4 years, commencing September 2018.
