The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery at De Montfort University, Leicester is seeking five external examiners for our new BSc Nursing with NMC registration programme for Adult, Child, Learning Disability and Mental Health Nursing Fields of practice. The programme is subject to NMC approval in May 2020. Tenures will start on the 05/10/20 and will be for four years.
External examiners will be required to monitor the quality of course work across a range of modules at levels 4, 5 and 6 and will be required to contribute to the quality monitoring processes of modules within the programme and undertake external review of assessed work. Opportunities will be provided to meet with members of the programme team and students within the School and in clinical practice. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and developments in new modules within their area of expertise. Experienced external examiners are preferred, however support will be offered for those new to the role.
