External Examiner – BSc/MSc Healthcare Practice Programme (Psychosocial and mental health modules)

The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education is seeking to appoint an external examiner for its psychosocial and mental health modules within the BSc and MSc Healthcare Practice programmes. The tenure is for four years with effect from August 2020.

These are post-qualifying workforce development modules offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They are validated by St George’s University of London and include a range of specialist clinically focused pathways, predominantly aimed at existing nurses and paramedics. Details of our workforce development modules can be found at http://www.healthcare.ac.uk/workforce-development/. The appointed examiners will review comparable modules from both programmes. The examiner will also be expected to attend up to six examination boards each year which are held at our St George’s site in Tooting (easily accessible by public transport) and submit an annual report. Expenses will be reimbursed and an induction will be offered.
