External Examiner – BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy & Oncology

The School of Health Sciences at University of Suffolk is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to our BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy & Oncology Course. This is a well-established course with an average cohort size of 20 students per year. Assessment Board dates are available in advance and are spread across the academic year.

External Examiners are expected to oversee the quality of modules, attend Assessment Boards and meet with students on the programme. A range of assessments are used and all written work is submitted online. You will be expected to produce a module report for each module reviewed and complete an annual report that contributes to the Risk-based Monitoring and Enhancement process.

Applicants will be required to have:

  • Relevant academic expertise and experience in therapeutic radiography.
  • A master’s degree in a radiography-related subject or PhD.
  • Current employment within a UK university with no formal links with the University in the last five years.

All new examiners to the University will be expected to attend an induction event for External Examiners. Tenure of appointment is usually four years.
