The School of Health and Social Care at University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint external examiners from September 2014, for the programmes. The tenure will be for a four period and will involve two visits to the University each year.
Applications are invited for this vacancy from suitably qualified and experienced Health and Social care academics.
This is a NHS Learning beyond Registration modular programme. As External Examiner the successful candidates will be involved in a number of modules at level 6 and 7 which can be used to gain accreditation towards the above BSc (Hons) and MSc. As part of this appointment modules will include People, personality & disorder in mental health, Non-Medical Prescribing, Therapeutic Interventions in Mental Health Recovery, Enhanced Practice in Acute Mental Health Care, Adult Critical Care, A Comprehensive Approach to History Taking and Physical Assessment, Research Skills for Evidence based professional practice for practitioners, Advanced Emergency Care Practice, Clinical Supervision for Health Care Professionals, Introduction to Contemporary Advanced Clinical Practice, Research and Evaluation for Practice and Assessment Diagnosis and Clinical Judgment in Practice.
We are seeking External Examiners with:
• A professional qualification in a Health related Science
• Knowledge and experience of curriculum development, supporting learning and assessment
• A good working knowledge of national benchmarks and standards
• Subject expertise in the above areas
