The BSc (Hons) / PG Dip Community Health Nursing programme at Queen Margaret University- Edinburgh (QMU) is supported by staff from the School of Health Sciences. QMU has a large multi-professional portfolio of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels providing learning and teaching opportunities from Certificate to Doctorate level within the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

We are seeking an External Examiner for the SPQ Community Nursing in the Home-District Nursing, at SCQF Levels 10 & 11.
In addition to core modules, the specialist modules are work-based learning modules, include: V100 Community Practitioner Prescribing, Principles and Practice of Managing People with Complex Needs, and Practice Consolidation. Curriculum development is underway for a revised programme to commence September 2015.
This programme uses varied teaching and learning approaches to assist students to draw out the learning potential from their own practice, and apply theory to practice. A blended model of learning is used including VLEs, face to face learning experiences together with work-based learning. A range of assessment strategies are utilised including exams, written assignments, reflective accounts and e-portfolio.
