2016 for three years.
From September we will be offering a newly validated undergraduate curriculum for the September 2016 cohort only. This will run alongside our current programme. Therefore it is an exciting time to join the team of established external examiners. Your remit will to work with the new programme in year one.
Closing date for applications: 15 July 2016
The University provides an induction programme for all new external examiners.
Many of our assessments take place on-line and you will be able to view the work in this way. To ensure that all NMC requirements are met we hold a number of module and programme boards across the year and you will be expected to attend or ensure all relevant reports are up to date.
Experience of teaching and assessing at undergraduate level with current field specific registration is an essential pre-requisite, however you will be joining an experienced external examining team.
External examiners are required to review and evaluate assessment marking; be a member of, and attend, Board of Examiners meetings; comment and give advice on programme content, balance and structure; engage with students in practice; and to complete an annual report as part of the University of Lincoln’s quality assurance mechanisms.
All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.
