The appointment is for one year in the first instance with the possibility of extending for a further 3 year term and will commence from the academic year 2014-2015. All appointments are subject to approval by the University Faculty Taught Student Education Committee.

ii) have an NMC recordable teaching qualification
iii) hold a higher degree at Masters level
iv) work within a Higher Education Institution.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of accomplishment in publishing and scholarly activity and previous external examiner experience.
All external examiners are required to be present at School Progression and Award Board meetings for the programme (at least one per year and preferably the September board), and are required to be available for consultation on assessment and curriculum issues.
The School uses GradeMark to mark some assignments and for these the external examiner will be required to view students’ work and markers’ comments on-line.
