The School of Health and Social Care within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science at Swansea University is seeking to appoint an external examiner for BSc (Hons) Nursing (Child) S20 and S21 cohorts for an initial four year period and cover subsequent cohorts as necessary.
The successful applicants will be asked to attend one examination board per year and submit an annual report for each cohort following this. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience of delivering/teaching children’s nurse education on pre-registration children’s nursing programmes (BSc/MSc).
- Current NMC registration as a children’s nurse (RN Child) on the appropriate part of the register.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience as an external examiner.
Date of appointment:
- Four years from start of tenure.
