The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at Canterbury Christ Church University require an External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) Apprenticeship programme. The role would involve supporting the Programme Team to ensure the maintenance of the highest academic standards across the programme (level 5 and 6). The first two years of the programme contains several modules shared with the Foundation Degree Nursing Associate Apprenticeship and these shared modules will be reviewed by the External examiner for that programme.
The Programme was approved to the 2019 NMC Education and the Registered Nurse Degree (IATE 2019) standards and has one annual intake of approximately 20 students in September. The role would involve the attendance, or input, at three Module Exam Boards held in Canterbury, one each trimester. The main progression and award board will be in August. The first Boards would be in 2021.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with a demonstrable academic career in nurse education linked ideally with experience of apprenticeship programme delivery.
