St. George’s University of London is seeking applicants for the role of External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme. The tenure will be 4 years, starting from September 2023.

Candidates need to be: HCPC registered, a UK resident; experienced in the design and delivery of cognate courses in a HEI within the United Kingdom at least to the level of the course being examined; and not hold any other EE positions as of 1 September 2023.

The successful candidate will be required to review a selection of assessment submissions from a range of modules and complete an external examiner report for each module. You will also be expected to attend examination boards, currently held remotely. At the end of the academic year, an annual report will be required. St. George’s University of London will offer ongoing support for external examiners, including a mandatory External Examiner induction day (held on campus in Tooting on 27 November 2023) and from the course team.

The position attracts a fee of £550 to the appointed candidate upon receipt of the annual report at the end of the academic year, including expenses where appropriate.
