Robert Gordon University are seeking to appoint an external examiner whose responsibilities will primarily focus on the pre-registration Bachelor of Nursing (Mental Health Nursing) course. The external examiner will be responsible for all undergraduate mental health specific modules and a range of work from mental health students within the generic modules. They will also have responsibilities for a small number of mental health focused continued professional development modules which are delivered at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Potential applicants should be able to evidence registration with the NMC.

They should have knowledge in relation to contemporary mental health nursing practice as well as physical wellbeing of individuals with significant mental health problems. Awareness of course development and quality assurance measures in relation teaching, learning and assessment would be advantageous. Applicants new to the external examiner role would be welcome. We would be looking for the successful candidate to commence in January 2018 and induction to the School will be arranged on appointment.
