1. Bachelor of Midwifery course and Return to Midwifery Practice module
The Bachelor of midwifery course is a three year direct entry pre-registration course.
The Return to Midwifery Practice module which is 6 months in length.
2. Preparation of Supervisor of Midwives course
This is a post registration course which is 6 months in length and usually there is one intake a year.
The majority of assessments are submitted and marked on-line and there are two assessment boards per year (In September and October). You would be expected to attend at least one examination board a year.
NMC Recordable Teacher and Registered Midwife and for the Preparation of Supervisor of Midwives course must be currently working as a Supervisor of Midwives.
Previous experience as an external examiner -but support for development can be provided
Any appointment would be subject to meeting the Robert Gordon University criteria for the appointment of external examiners.
You would also be expected to meet students and mentors in order to sample practice portfolios.
