Ulster University is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as an External Examiner for:
- Nurse & Midwife Prescribing programme (V300)
- A standalone module in Health assessment
The successful applicant must be registered on the NMC register and have a Prescribing qualification. The applicant will also have experience of teaching and leading prescribing courses. He/she will be required to review both Level 6 and Level 7 work including a number of assessments. These include – numeracy exam; pharmacology exam; OSCEs and a selection of essays and portfolios.
There is one intake per year.
The External Examiner will be expected to attend at least one programme assessment board per year (usually June), contribute to the overall assessment process and produce an Annual Report.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria.
The appointment will be with effect from September 2020 and will be for a period of four years.
