The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking to appoint two External Examiners to the following post-registration undergraduate and postgraduate programmes: BSc (Hons)/Grad Dip/PG Dip Specialist Practice, UG/PG Cert Non-Medical Prescribing, BSc (Hons) Health Studies.
Experienced External Examiners would be preferred but those seeking a first position and having relevant clinical and educational experience will also be considered. All applicants must be at Senior Lecturer level or above. This position is available to commence in academic year 2019/20 and is for a period of four years.
Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee with an induction at the University on appointment. The post requires external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at the relevant Board of Examiner meetings and where required in line with NMC requirements, visits to Clinical Practice areas.
The areas of expertise in which we require an examiner is as follows:
Specialist Practitioner – Adult Nursing – Level 6 and Level 7
Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing – V300 – Level 6 and Level 7
Health Studies- Level 6
