External Assessor for a new nursing programme from the University Of Exeter’s Academy Of Nursing
The University of Exeter is launching a unique, exciting and ground breaking nursing programme to educate the nurses of the future. We will be admitting the most able students, and educating them to be future front-runners in global innovation, research, clinical practice, leadership and health policy in nursing. As a research-intensive Russell Group University, science and research is at the heart of our educational mission for nursing.
To support us in this exciting undertaking we require an exceptional and experienced external assessor.
The role of the external assessor includes confirming that: a) academic and professional body standards have been set at the appropriate levels and the programme structure, content and resources enable the required standards to be met; b) Exeter’s university and college processes and procedures are in alignment with those used by Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
You will fulfil this role through your involvement in the internal and external approval process. You will review documentation electronically and attend the programme approval event with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) quality assurance representatives. The event date has not been set but will be in late 2018 (most likely November). Applicants must be available to attend the event and confirm they have sufficient time to undertake the required reviewing responsibilities.
Interested parties should email their CV to Lara Whiteman, project manager at: L.Whiteman@exeter.ac.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
