The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as an External Advisor for the NMC re-approval of Non-Medical Prescribing courses (Independent & Supplementary Prescribing programme & Community Practitioner Prescribing).
The External Advisor must be an NMC registrant and have a prescribing qualification. They will also have experience of teaching and leading prescribing courses. He/she will be required to advise on the implementation of the new NMC Standards (2018) within our prescribing programmes. This will involve sharing your expertise and ideas about the application of the updated NMC Standards to our NMP programmes, along with the teaching team, students and a number of other stakeholders. Attendance will be required at the re-approval event which has been scheduled to take place on 4 April 2019 (although there is a possibility this date may change).
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria. A £100 fee is payable along with travel and expenses.
