The University of Wolverhampton requires an external adviser for a range of non-professional Health courses contributing to our undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio.
These awards include –
- Continuing Professional Development Nursing
- Emergency Planning
The role of the external adviser will be to confirm that standards have been set at the appropriate levels and the course structure, content and available resources are such that these standards can be met. This will be done through your involvement throughout the periodic review process.
Periodic review is led by a University panel. The quality of the learning opportunities which students experience in an academic school or faculty and the standard of the awards that they take away are central to the Periodic Review process. The aim of the Periodic Review process is to embed University processes and procedures at Faculty level within Faculty management processes and to ensure the alignment of University process with the process used by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. The team will review the health of the courses within the health professions area. Students will also be asked to comment. The university panel will then meet with students, course team members, and stakeholders to triangulate the documentation. You would be asked to electronically review documentation and attend a day of meetings on the side of the university panel. The documentation submission date is the 1st October. You would be asked to comment on this during October and then meet with the panel for the event during the end of November/early December
Applicants will be required to inform the university of their availability to attend the event . The event date can be arranged around the external adviser’s availability alongside the other university panel members.
