The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences has a newly formed Research Centre which focuses on behavioural and psychological sciences in an exciting inter-disciplinary group with applied research to the fields of health, well-being; education, and/or interpersonal behaviour.

Behaviour and Interventions Research Brain, Belief and Behaviour Literacy Development Violence and Interpersonal Aggression.
We are looking for a highly motivated senior academic who can provide the strategic leadership and vision in the post of Executive Director of the Faculty Research Centre and thus ensure the growth and continuing academic health of the Centre as a focus for inter-disciplinary research of high quality with demonstrable impact.
As Executive Director you will provide strategic leadership and the vision to lead the development and delivery of new and existing research activities ensuring that personal and team ambitions are met and aligned to the Centre. With a successful track record in securing income and publications, you will have experience of planning and managing resources, governance and teams to deliver excellent research. In addition, you will have excellent people skills and be confident in developing relationships inside and outside of the University in order to encourage collaboration.
You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and a track record of delivering national and international level research outputs. A commitment to promoting the values that underpin the discipline and its research with a willingness to travel nationally and internationally is essential. It is expected that the successful applicant will be of standard to be appointed to an associated professorship.
