The University of Huddersfield has a growing Nursing (all fields), Midwifery and Trainee Nursing Associates department, being delivered across a range of programmes including traditional and blended learning and, apprenticeships. We are looking for a talented academic to lead the expansion of our Nursing & Midwifery programmes.
This role will be required to work across the Department and is responsible for delivering varied and complex aspects of Nursing & Midwifery.
The Department places the quality of the students’ learning at its heart and works collaboratively to ensure students achieve the highest possible standards and have an enjoyable and productive learning experience as evidenced by the continued good results in the National Students Surveys for nursing. We endeavour to ensure that our graduates can provide evidence-based care of the highest quality and gain employment in their chosen sphere of practice. Our pre-registration, undergraduate and post-graduate provision, provides the experience to appropriately prepare aspiring nurses, midwives, and trainee nursing associates to confidently promote high quality care in a broad range of settings.
The postholder will be responsible for the operationalisation and development of the Nursing & Midwifery programmes and will work closely with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery Quality of NMC programmes. In addition, the postholder will be part of the senior Nursing & Midwifery Leadership Team. We are seeking a person who can communicate and work closely with a range of partners within the NHS and beyond, including social care.
