The Faculty of Health Sciences is a new and innovative Faculty at the University of Hull. Comprising of three Schools the Education and Research profile spans through Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health, Social Work, Bio-medical science, psychology to sports health and exercise science.

The award winning Allam Medical Building is transforming the way we teach the next generation of health professionals, giving them the very best opportunities and training to deliver the healthcare of the future, and enhancing their student experience considerably. Our ambition is to create new models of working, and by providing the clinical skills areas and facilities that enable doctors, nurses, midwives and other healthcare workers to train together, we are moving closer to building the cohesive workforce required by the NHS to deliver the highest standard of healthcare in the region.

The Director of Clinical Skills Education will lead the development of clinical teaching and outreach activities in line with the Faculty’s Business Plans, and the University’s corporate objectives.

The post holder will be expected to liaise and collaborate with University colleagues, senior managers and relevant external agencies and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of this area of the Faculty’s business.

The post holder will work with Director of Business Engagement & Enterprise (DBEE) and Faculty staff to develop a commercial strategy for the Centre. This will involve creative and innovative methods of generating third stream income including training and CPD, events and conferences to optimise the potential for increasing the Faculty’s capability to grow new business opportunities.
