We are seeking a Deputy Dean in the School of Health and Social Work, cited in an innovative and successful Gold TEF University, you will join a dynamic Senior Executive Team, committed to developing excellence, confidence and success in teaching, learning and research.
The School delivers a diverse portfolio of courses, with research strength across the School and in the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care. Our portfolio is designed to support the service needs and enhancement of local, National and International health and social care provision. The School is proud of our established practice of co-production with service users and students in curricula and research design and delivery.
The Deputy Dean will be creative in furthering the School’s ambitions and reputation, contributing to all aspects of the business, supporting the Dean in ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, scholarship and students and staff experience.
You will be a dynamic individual demonstrating success in leadership with academic credibility at a senior level in Higher Education. Applicants will demonstrate a track record of developing teams, possess excellent interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of the key drivers in health and social care, with experience of building successful collaborations with stakeholders.
You will have a postgraduate qualification to Master’s level and a Doctorate (or working toward). With knowledge and expertise within a discipline represented in the School’s portfolio, and a current registration with a related UK professional body.
