The role of the Clinical Skills Facilitator has two key components. Primarily your role is to ensure that the School’s Clinical Skills Centre offers a high quality learning environment and that rooms are prepared to a high standard for a range of clinical and healthcare related skills. Secondly you will work under the direction of academic staff to support them when teaching some of the clinical skills within the programme and have the opportunity to develop your skills within this area

As a Clinical Skills Facilitator you will be working within a team and will be responsible for the clinical skills rooms to ensure that they are set up and taken down appropriately for clinical skills sessions. You will also be responsible for maintaining efficient storage systems, resources, stock levels and clinical waste management for all clinical skills rooms.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a health and/or social care organisation and experience of training others. High level interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise a varied workload will be important, as will the ability to work within a team within a complex organisation.
