The position is a newly created post in the School of Nursing & Midwifery at Robert Gordon University and is jointly funded by NHS Grampian. The post holder will play a key role in providing strategic leadership for research and development of staff to increase capacity and capability for research and knowledge transfer between the two partners.
The newly established North East Scotland Centre for Applied Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (NoSCAR) has established a community of clinical and academic Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHPs). Members share interests in health and social care research and care improvement which seeks to nurture, develop and support a sustainable culture of research through our NMAHP network. It will do so by building research capacity and capability across the region to inform contemporary practice and models of care.
You will provide operational leadership to the NoSCAR group fostering wider engagement and impact with the University and other strategic partners. You will develop and lead programmatic research with national and/or international impact and profile; contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level; supervise postgraduate research students, and undertake management and leadership duties commensurate with the role in the School of Nursing and Midwifery with a particular focus on the delivery of the school research strategy and REF 2021.
