We are looking for a part-time suitably qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to teach and supervise on our Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) course. The course trains clinicians in “standard” CBT before specialising in Severe Mental Illness (SMI) conditions. This post would be an excellent opportunity for clinical staff seeking to develop their role whilst remaining in clinical practice.

We want to recruit staff with specific interest and experience working in at least one of the following areas: Common disorders, Psychosis, Bipolar Disorder and Personality Disorder. We are also interested to hear from applicants with other interests passionate about training in CBT who might fit with our existing course team.

With a total of 0.4 whole time equivalent hours available, it is anticipated that the post-holder will work two days a week at the University to fit with current course teaching days. There is the possibility of flexible working outside of teaching commitments. The post is primarily a teaching post. We also encourage involvement in research in CBT where this fits with other duties.

Main tasks include assisting the Course Director in developing all aspects of the course. These include module planning, teaching, and evaluating trainees’ clinical and academic competence. The post holder will be required to assume an appropriate share of the course administrative work, depending on grade and experience. Salary paid according to experience and qualifications.

This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
