The University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE) are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff for the role of Chief External Examiner, within the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences. The successful applicant will have responsibility for overseeing both undergraduate and postgraduate modular schemes within the subject areas of nursing and midwifery, allied health professions and health, community and policy studies. The Chief External Examiner role does not have direct responsibility for any specified field or module. Experience of external examining and familiarity with relevant professional and regulatory body requirements is essential. Attendance at three main award boards per year would normally be expected (additional remote contact may be required to support non-standard programmes or professionally regulated programmes).

The appointment shall be for a period of four years commencing 1st October 2014.
