Take this high profile role, and you will provide professional and academic leadership for practice learning. We’ll look to you to lead and develop high quality, practice education across our programmes, providing continuous improvement, monitoring and evaluation of the provision that falls within this portfolio. You will provide practice academic leadership to our programme leads ensuring that curricula reflects contemporary developments in policy and practice that meets professional body standards in practice education. You will identify and promote best, innovative and inclusive practice in teaching and learning in the practice learning environment in conjunction with staff involved in practice education including, our practice partners, mentors and practice educators. A respected professional and academic, you’ll work to enhance our local and national connections and profile.

You’ll come to us with a credible background in the nursing profession together with an impressive track record of advancing practice education through research-informed learning, innovation and integrated academic practice. A registered nurse on the NMC register, you will have a master’s degree in nursing and a teaching qualification such as a PGCHE or equivalent with NMC Stage 4 route. These qualifications will be matched by considerable experience of practice education as well as a flair for project management. Your ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn will set you apart.
