The successful candidate will lead the mental health provision across the College, as well as providing significant contribution to teaching and supervision in Mental Health Nursing and related subjects, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, but also across the College where required, in addition to sharing organisational and academic administrative responsibilities. In particular the successful candidate will be expected to take a lead on running modules at UG and PG level, as well as teaching, assessment and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Whilst we are looking for a candidate with extensive broad experience across the field of Mental Health Nursing, a background in community mental health nursing and regular liaison with local authorities are both highly desirable
We are looking for individuals who can provide strategic direction to the mental health provision across the College, managing a team of highly qualified and skilled mental health practitioners, as well significantly enhancing our student learning experience through teaching and continuing development of the curriculum. This new appointment will strengthen the links between our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and key stakeholders. The candidate will provide sound academic leadership and will share and promote good practice in teaching with the aim to develop innovations in teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
The postholder will be encouraged to develop their career and professional development within academia and support will be provided for such activities as scholarly activity and where appropriate, research.
