Associate Heads of School are assigned specific responsibility across the School, aligned to the Associate Dean / Deputy Vice-Chancellor portfolios,namely Student Experience, International, Marketing & Recruitment, Quality& Accreditation, Enterprise & Commercial, and Research (unless delivered through other structures such as Faculty Research Centres). As such,they are expected to be key contributors to the School’s fulfilment of the University’s Mission Statement and Corporate Plan.

Reporting to the Head of School with a functional reporting line to the Faculty’s Associate Dean – Student Experience, the Associate Head of School – Student Experience has specific responsibility for leading the enhancement of teaching and learning, particularly in relation to curriculum design, course development and pedagogy, such that the student experience is optimised.
The Associate Head of School – Student Experience will work closely with Course Directors and Administrators and work collaboratively with other Associate Heads of School, in the school, across the Faculty and the University to ensure student expectations are met and best practice is disseminated across the University.

Maintaing your academic standing and authority through teaching, research and scholarly activities and be expected to help the School build a national and international profile whilst enhancing the quality of provision by monitoring the student experience and taking a ‘student’s-eye-view’ at the level of the course.

To network proactively and develop public and private education and health sector related partnerships at a national and international level to ensure opportunities for the School are identified and delivered.
