The Faculty of Health and Social Care is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well qualified and experienced individual who will join senior academic staff and be involved in the strategic leadership, management and organisation of the Faculty.

The Associate Dean (Education and Student Engagement) will support the Executive Dean in the development and implementation of Faculty education, research and enterprise strategies in line with wider university priorities of improving the quality of the student experience, extending the student education offer and growing income across all lines of faculty business.

The successful candidate will also oversee student recruitment and support widening participation initiatives. The Faculty has four education sites: Riverside (Chester), Padgate (Warrington), Marriss House (Birkenhead), and Leighton Hospital (near Crewe).

We are looking for an exceptional leader with extensive experience of designing, implementing and evaluating health and social care curricula, undertaking complex evaluations/funded research and business innovation.

The candidate must hold a professional qualification in a Health or Social Care related discipline, an appropriate first and higher degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate of Education/HEA Senior Fellowship as well as a PhD or Professional Doctorate.

A professorial title may be available to a suitable candidate.
