Due to our continued success and growth the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to take up a full time position as an Assistant Lecturer / Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing (permanent).
As the largest School in the University we have a broad provision of health professions related courses across Dietetics, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy,Operating Department Practice, Paramedic and Physiotherapy all leading to professional registration. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at UGand PG levels.
Applicants will need to possess a Registered Nurse qualification. Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is highly desirable and your application should detail your area of clinical/teaching experience and expertise. You will have a strong commitment to developing and maintaining productive relationships with placement providers, employers and other stakeholders, you will need a high level of inter-personal skills, and personal effectiveness to promote a high-quality experience for all of our students. Your teaching approach will be flexible, student-centred and research informed.
The University offers academic and professional development and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.
