The post is permanent, part time. 0.6 FTE (3 days a week)

A vacancy has arisen for an NMP academic with experience of current prescribing practice to join the team. This post will be suitable for either a full-time post or part-time position and a prescriber from any clinical background is encouraged to apply. Experience of V300 Independent/Supplementary prescribing is essential and enthusiasm for teaching and helping students to develop is just as important.

The School has provided non-medical prescribing courses since 2004. The recent expansion of Independent Prescribing for health professionals draws participants from a wide range of clinical backgrounds in acute and primary care. The LSBU course is very positively evaluated by students and commissioners.

The NMP course is validated at level 6 and level 7 leading to a graduate certificate or post graduate certificate and the course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health and Care Professions Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council.

We currently have a small multi-professional team who teach on the NMP programme.
