Central to the post is contributing to the Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) pre-registration nursing programme delivered through collaborative partnership with the University of Chester. Our current intake is 14 adult and 6 mental health students annually. The post holder will also participate in the delivery of continual professional development through the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care and MSc Professional Practice programmes validated through collaborative partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University.
Entry onto our pre-reg nursing programme through a values-based assessment process, and ensures our student dropout rates are negligible. Current class sizes are limited to 20 students, with field specific teaching of mental health in groups of 6.
You must hold a relevant Master’s degree, mental health NMC registration and teaching qualification recordable with the NMC. You will have recent teaching and programme management experience in Higher Education and excellent knowledge and understanding of therapeutic approaches in mental health nursing. The post will be a permanent, full time contract.
