External Examiner – End of Life and Cancer Care modules

Salary Range:

University of the West of England, Bristol, Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, is seeking to appoint the following external examiner from September 2017 for End of Life and Cancer care modules within our CPD and undergraduate provision.

Reference PQ04/16

The following current modules are expected to be part of the examiners portfolio:

  • Communication skills in Supportive and End of Life Care (also delivered to Radiotherapy students)
  • End of Life Care
  • The Management of Head and Neck Cancer
  • The Nature and Treatment of Cancer
  • Cancer Care

Applications will be accepted from individuals new to the examining role with relevant professional experience. UWE CPD modules can be taken as part of a programme or individually as standalone.

Essential Criteria

  • Current NMC registration
  • Educated to Masters level

All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.

We are unable to accept applications from the following Universities for this post; Bradford, Canterbury Christchurch, Stafford, Sunderland, Birmingham City, Bournemouth.
Tenure: 4 years
Field Boards – currently February, June, July and November. We expect External Examiners would be able to attend at least 2 out of 4 boards.
