The successful applicants will be appointed with effect from September 2017 for a term of four years. Experience as an external examiner is preferred but applications will be considered from individuals new to the examining role who are responsible for delivery of pre-registration programmes or modules in their own institution.
Applicants must hold current NMC midwifery registration and hold a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC.
The Department of Midwifery operates an on-line submission, marking and feedback of assignments. Experience of electronic marking systems would be desirable.
All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.

Module and Programme Boards. Examination Board dates will be confirmed upon appointment. We expect External Examiners to attend at least 2 of these per year and attend practice to meet with Mentors/students once per year.
